About Us

Hi.   I’m Jen, a life-long horse lover.

I recently retired from a career in cancer research and pharmaceutical drug discovery and development. 

I grew up in Colorado and went to Reed College in Oregon. I received a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire and completed post-doctoral research at the University of Wisconsin. 

I have lived and worked in Colorado, Oregon, Alaska, New Hampshire, Vermont, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Utah and Virginia. 

I own a small farm on 20 acres near Linden VA.  

I have more than 40 years experience taking care of horses. 

I have five rescued horses: three seniors (>25 years old) named Dulcie, Frega and Fruit, a 3-year old off-the-track thoroughbred named Molly and a 22-year old miniature horse named Little John.

We have a business license in Fauquier County and are fully insured  with both Commercial Equine General Liability and Workers’ Compensation policies.

We will work with you to provide the best service possible.  We appreciate each individual horse’s unique personality.  We are especially good at caring for older senior animals who require a gentle hand and patience.
